Identidad somática y corporalidad: sobre el sentir, ver, tocar, pensar, imaginar, situar, mover, reconocer, mostrar, adornar y evaluar el propio cuerpo

Resumen
Las palabras corporalidad y corporeidad comparten la raíz latina corpo (cuerpo) y se usan indistintamente porque provienen de corporal y corpóreo, dos adjetivos sinónimos. Si bien corporalidad y corporeidad son conceptos relativos a la comprensión del cuerpo, implican bastante más que su estructura orgánica y su función biológica, a saber: la vivencia humana de ser o tener un cuerpo, la construcción o representación que una persona posee de su cuerpo y la noción que una sociedad asume sobre el cuerpo humano. Un reto que surge en referencia a la corporalidad es el de establecer las ligas y los puentes entre el aspecto orgánico-biológico y el aspecto vivencial-psicológico del cuerpo bajo la premisa de que conforman la unidad existencial propia de la persona humana.
